Damon Lee

When it comes to holiday activities in Las Vegas, locals know that even though there’s a week of Kwanzaa, eight nights of Hanukkah, and 12 days of Christmas, the holiday season in Las Vegas really lasts from early November through New Year’s Eve. That’s almost two months of only-in-Vegas holiday activities and special Christmas events.
Of course, not all Christmas events and holiday activities are created equal. That’s why we’ve rounded up the absolute best ways to get into the spirit of the season. Here is our curated list of must-do holiday activities and Christmas events in Las Vegas in 2022.

Snow Carnival Holiday Forest at M Resort

The one-of-a-kind winter-themed attraction will welcome guests with a flurry of snowflakes into an indoor winter wonderland of more than 350 tons of real snow, both falling from above and covering the ground. To keep the magic alive, 50 tons of fresh snow will be added to Snow Carnival Holiday Forest each day.

This family-friendly holiday attraction will offer seasonal favorites from snowball throwing and snowman building to coasting down the “Mini Matterhorn” snow slide and visiting the Candy Cane forest. Snow Carnival will also offer wintery eats, treats, and drinks.

Snow Carnival will be open daily inside the M Pavilion at M Resort Spa Casino, with select operating hours from Nov. 23, 2022-Jan. 8, 2023. Tickets are priced at $36.99 for adults (age 12+) and $29.99 for kids (age three-11). Children two and under are free.

At The Ice Rink, you can skate across 4,200 square feet of real ice, roast s’mores by the fire, and indulge in seasonal food and beverage offerings. Lose yourself in a magical, park-like atmosphere surrounded by the glittering lights of Las Vegas while enjoying light snowfall throughout the evening.

Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Las Vegas is known for its neon lights and, now, for its Glittering Lights over the last twenty years. The annual holiday light show is Nevada’s largest drive-thru display and the lights are back with plenty to see.

This year’s Glittering Lights display can be found at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The display takes visitors through a 2.5-mile course.

Drivers are welcomed upfront by holiday music, hot cocoa, kettle corn, along with a holiday gift bag — featuring local coupons and a list of other holiday events.

The holiday event also gives back to the community by helping several local charities, including Goodwill of Southern Nevada and Speedway Children’s Charities.

Visitors will also get a $5 dollar coupon if they bring a bag of gently used household items for Goodwill of Southern Nevada.
