9 Free Things To Do In Las Vegas

You can always find something exciting to do in Las Vegas and something free to do is always a plus. So we wanted to share with you all some fun, free things to do around town!

A staple for every visitor, whether you stop by when you first arrive, during your stay, or on your way out, this is a must-stop photo op. There’s plenty of dedicated parking and crosswalks, making it a more safe and enjoyable attraction than it used to be!

 

Fremont Street

The five-block entertainment district in the historic downtown Las Vegas is where you can find bands, DJs, singers, and entertainers of all kinds performing for free. You can also see the epic light show on the world’s largest video screen, Viva Vision above the pedestrian mall every night of the week.

 

The Arts District

A place where all artists are represented in a broad range of contemporary and traditional styles, media, and interests. The Arts District is a vibrant hub that houses many art galleries, shops, restaurants, as well as performance spaces and venues too.

 

Conservatory & Botanical Garden at the Bellagio Casino

A skylit atrium where you’re able to stroll through beautiful gardens that change seasonally (five times throughout the year), so there’s always something new to see.

 

Downtown Container Park

One of the unique, off-Strip shopping centers where you’ll find great dining and entertainment. With over 38 different retail shops, restaurants, and bars you can find whatever it is that you’re looking for there. The shopping center is built from over 40 recycled shipping containers and also includes galleries and a courtyard with a playground for the kids. It also has a stage for free concerts and performances.

 

Seven Magic Mountains

The stunning, large-scale exhibit made by Ugo Rondinone is located 10 miles south of the Las Vegas strip. It features seven 30 to 35-feet painted rock totems that are all locally sourced. A hotspot for locals and tourists, it’s a visually unique expression of color nestled in the desert.

 

Ethel M Chocolates

Located in Henderson, a short drive from the Strip, you can take a self-guided tour around the chocolate factory and store, checking out the many chocolatiers at work. If you’re lucky enough to visit during the holidays, it also has one of the largest botanical cactus gardens in Nevada, decked out with over a million colorful lights!

 

The Aquarium at Silverton Casino

If you’re looking for mermaids in real life, take a break at the aquarium. It’s a free, interactive mermaid swim show that takes place throughout the day from Thursday to Sunday that includes sharks, stingrays, and tropical fish!

 

Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art

A museum located on the main campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. With four new exhibitions on view you can check them out from Tuesdays to Saturdays. The museum gives access to art that challenges and inspires us to create and hold space for all communities. They also offer free workshops, lectures, and community activities on par with their exhibitions.
