November Sports in Las Vegas

Andrew Figurelli

Sure it may be FINALLY cooling down to sub 80 degree temperature around town, but our teams are just heating up (except the Raiders). Let’s take a look at some notable games coming up in November for our Las Vegas teams.

But before we talk about our local teams…one of the biggest events in Vegas is back for round 2. I’m talking of course about Formula 1.

November 21-23

If you’re listening to just the louder population of Vegas, you’d think that F1 is the worst thing to happen to Las Vegas ever. And I have to side with the local businesses that are affected by the awful construction that occurs down by the strip at this time each year. I have no idea what the solutions the city is offering, but it sucks for those small businesses.

That being said, the actual event of F1 is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I have no idea who any of the drivers are, nor do I understand how the rankings work, but what I do know is the race itself is so much fun to watch.

Seeing those cars race by with all the hotels & casinos that I’ve lost so much money in from gambling, be in the background is pretty cool.

I’ll admit, last year I was anti-F1, and then the race happened and now my closet is basically all F1 apparel. #teamf1

Las Vegas Raiders

I mean we’re midway through the NFL season and we can all see where this year is going. We have no stable QB, a coach thats already on the hot seat, and whispered rumors of losing our best defensive player at the trade deadline. Other than that though, things are going great for the Raiders.

Praise the good lord we have a bye in Week 10 but right after that its at the Miami Dolphins, home against a “heating up” Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos, and then of course a Black Friday game against our rivals (and the best team in the NFL right now), the Kansas City Chiefs.

Please, just let it finish quickly.

Vegas Golden Knights

If you look solely at the Golden Knights home record, we’re the best team in the league. If you look at our record on the road, we’re the equivalent of the Bad News Bears (in the beginning of the movie). We suck on the road, so we’re only going to focus on the few games we have at home this month in this post.

Listen I’m not over losing the Stanley Cup in our first year back in 2018. The futures bet I had would’ve put me on the fast track to an early retirement. And yeah yeah I know we won our own championship a couple years later, but I hold grudges – just ask any of my exes.
