It took place in Indianapolis and saw Wabash earn the title by beating Kalamazoo 43-23. NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament has gone from being played in barns to stadiums that seat up to 70,000. The game has evolved since it was introduced in the late 20th century, and it has also seen significant growth. It is played on college campuses throughout the United States and has put a spotlight on notable athletes such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. UCLA holds the record for most NCAA Tournament championships won while John Wooden remains the head coach with the most national championships won under his leadership. There are several rivalries to enjoy in person as well as games to witness. The student cheering sections keep the game atmosphere spirited while the action on the court is competitive.
T-Mobile Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, United States. The arena has two tenants, the National Hockey League’s Vegas Golden Knights, who began play in 2017, and the mixed martial arts promotion the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) who have been hosting at least four events a year at the arena since 2016, with the only exception being 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Opened on April 6, 2016, the arena was built as a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and the Anschutz Entertainment Group. Aside from the Golden Knights, T-Mobile Arena has primarily been used for entertainment events such as concerts, and has been booked for mixed martial arts and professional boxing events, as well as other annual sporting events.
