With over 300,000 people wandering the Strip, you’ll be walking through jam-packed crowds with everyone trying to find the perfect view of the lit up sky. Here’s a list of some of the best spots around town for locals and visiting friends alike! Definitely show up extra early if you’re thinking about going to a rooftop or any location near the Strip as it can get busy fast.

The Plaza Hotel & Casino
Hosting a plethora of events from comedy shows to live performances at the Omaha Lounge to themed parties. The Plaza Hotel & Casino also has a New Year’s Eve fireworks show near the Fremont Street Experience, where you can find a perfect view as they light up the downtown sky for a memorable evening.
Lake Las Vegas
Lake Las Vegas will round out it’s holiday season with it’s annual New Year’s Eve firework display, counting down at 9 PM, catching the East Coast countdown. You can catch the free show from anywhere around the community as the fireworks will light up the sky over the 320-acre lake.
Lindo Michoacán
A local hidden gem of a spot is in Henderson on Horizon Ridge, where you can see the whole strip and have a view of the entire valley. It’s a perfect spot for watching fireworks for New Year’s Eve to see both fireworks lighting up the sky from the Strip and in the local neighborhoods. Be sure to definitely grab a bite from the restaurant too!
Glittering Lights
Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is having it’s magical New Year’s Eve firework display once again. This year doors open at 4:30PM with a pause around 8:30PM for the 9PM countdown (matching midnight on the East Coast), so get there early for the best spot possible. For those who are looking to see as much fireworks as they can this evening, you can definitely still catch the midnight firework displays coming from the Strip!
